Print :: I love Ikat

If there’s one fabric print technique I find extremely inspiring, it’s Ikat. It’s a resistant dying technique that is applied prior to weaving, and is similar to tye dying, resulting in a characteristically Indonesian looking fabric pattern. I usually associate Ikat designs with the beautiful blue and white linen prints that it’s best known for, but designers are adding new twists in seasonal colour palates.
